Weather – constant source of conversation

It’s been 80, it’s been 50 (and raining), and this morning it was 35.  You know you’ve gone off the deep end when you’re photographing frost on your lawn.  But it’s May 27th already!

The baby birds don’t seem to mind.  Mom sits on them a lot.

Hmmmmmmm…… I should say something about food in this space, right?  How about this: probably the most delicious thing I ate up in Minneapolis (at Loring Pasta Bar) when we went for the graduation.  It was orzo with grilled vegetables, including artichoke hearts.  On the side, I got roasted mushrooms and artichoke hearts.  Because you only live once.

This is why I never plant the garden in Madison until June. I had to put an extra quilt on the bed! Today, however (May 30) is supposed to be 89 I think. Never a dull weather moment in Madison, where we have 4 seasons in a day.
