Italian Night

When the kids are home, we try to make their favorite foods, which are also our favorites from over the years.  The other night, we made our we-finally-have-enough-tomatoes marinated pasta sauce from The Enchanted Broccoli Forest.  Thanks to R for the photos; below, her and her Papa’s portion, with mozzarella cheese:

Of course, we just had to make some foccacia bread with kalamata olives to go with it!

Oh, and some salad….

This is not some fad, mind you, and you won’t see us making Indian and then Indonesian foods next, just because we’ve recently been reading Eat, Pray, Love.  We’re (well, she, but we like to be supportive) are getting into Florence Or Bust mode — R leaves in a little over a week!  Hey, check out her blog!

This is my LAST NIGHT OF SUMMER VACATION!  Tomorrow I report to work…. we already did some setup yesterday, but all teachers need to come in tomorrow.  Bye, vacation; it’s been nice!

I can’t see any pictures but it sounds wonderful! And I will check out R’s blog! We’re in Missoula and after three days on the road I’m wishing for some home-cooked food.

  2. Yummy
Your garden foods sound great even without photos. I am reading your blog on a curb in salt lake city while we are purchasing a new tire for the camper:)
